ELEMENT │ PLACE

Places are important aspects to any worldbuilding project. Fantasy worlds are full of towns and castles, space opera worlds are home to alien ruins and city planets, and war-torn worlds may feature airfields and damaged buildings. Choosing what places exist within a fictional world is an important consideration for any worldbuilder.

Places go hand-in-hand with regions and terrain features. For instance a shipwreck town may be located on a tropical island with a waterfall cascading through its’ center. Worldbuilders will want to consider how any place they design fits into the greater region and local terrain
