Bridge Systems

Bridge Systems

Bridge systems (synonyms: skyway systems, bridge networks; example toponyms: the airbridge network) are an interconnected system of elevated walkways used to travel between buildings above ground. These may be skyways connecting buildings in a cyberpunk metropolis, rope bridges connecting treehouses in a vast treetop city, or a series of walkways spanning a canal network. They may be designed for pedestrians or for vehicles.

When designing a bridge system consider the reason that bridge system exists. It is also important to link critical infrastructure – transportation hubs, public squares, etc.
