Tropical Islands

Tropical Islands

Tropical islands are islands that feature tropical elements and are common locations found in all types of worlds. Tropical islands may be deserted islands or volcanic islands that feature volcanoes. They may contain sandy beaches, dense jungles, mangrove forests, secluded pools, waterfalls, lagoons, and coral reefs. There may be sea stacks and sea caves nearby. They may be sites of pirate treasure or shipwrecks. They may contain shipwreck towns, pirate forts, or resorts. They are home to crabs, pirates, and castaways.

When designing tropical islands, consider if they are inhabited and to what degree. Tropical islands are common resort destinations or can serve as supply caches for longer ship voyages.
