Giant Skeletons

Giant Skeletons

Giant skeletons (synonyms: bones; example toponyms: The Greatbones) are a worldbuilding element found in many genres of world. These skeletons may be the remains of ancient creatures (such as behemoths or leviathans) or humongous humanoids. They may be boneyards. They may be sites where useful material is being harvested, or merely exist as simple forlorn background elements. Towns and villages may have sprung up inside or nearby. Giant skeletons are frequent elements in sword and sorcery worlds. They are a related element to giant weapons and skull rocks.
