Black Markets
Black markets are a type of market that deals in illegal items and/or services. While the term ‘black market’ is a nebulous term which refers to all illegal trade between people, fictional black markets are often depicted as actual physical locations. Here hard to obtain weapons, spells, technologies, creatures, and more may be found, as long as buyers are willing to pay the price. These sites are generally kept secret. They are home to fences, shady merchants, pickpockets, drug dealers, and other criminals.

Designing Fictional Black Markets
Overview
Black markets are often hidden, and may be located in the slums, city sublevels, or the alleyways. They may require passwords to enter or knowledge of a secret entrance. These markets may sell drugs, weapons, people, alien artifacts, banned magical items, prohibited creatures, and other illegal paraphernalia. They may accept money, favors, or operate on the barter system.

Does your black market have a fixed physical location or does it appear and disappear each night?
