Disease Colonies
Disease colonies are locations where those suffering from an infectious disease (or what is thought to be an infectious disease) are forced to live. These colonies are separated from the healthy population and may be located in remote areas. Disease colonies may be located on islands, in caves, or in slums. They may contain laboratories and medical centers in addition to buildings and locations needed to sustain a community. Disease colonies may be home to patients, nurses, and doctors conducting experiments.

Overview
When designing disease colonies, consider who in in charge, how they sustain themselves, and how they are viewed by the local community. The population of the disease colony may live their willingly to protect others or may be forced, in which case walls, watchtowers, or hard to cross terrain features may be used to keep them contained.
