Town squares are open areas in the center of a town for people to meet and congregate. Fictional town squares are often the center (symbolically and geographically) of small fictional towns. These could be cobblestone spaces where street markets set up to sell wares, or they could be grassy parks used for fairs and other celebrations. Towns squares often contain wells, fountains, statues or bulletin boards. They are home to town criers, mayors, and others.
