Dart Traps
Dart traps are a type of fictional trap where darts or similar sharp objects are propelled from a wall or other source at a helpless victim when the trap is triggered. These traps are commonly found lining the corridors of fictional ancient temples where they may be triggered by pressure plate or tripwire. The darts themselves are often poisonous.

Overview
Fictional dart traps often have the darts emerge from small, circular holes in the wall. These holes may be incorporated into artwork depicted on the wall or into statues that line a corridor. Fictional darts can be deadly in two ways: they can be hurled with such force that they kill, or they can be dipped in poison. Adventurers that are able to spot these traps may be able to use something to shield themselves from being struck.
