Damaged Roofs

Damaged roofs (synonyms: broken rooftops; example toponyms: The Broken Clocktower) are roofs that have collapsed or partially collapsed. Damaged roofs may have sections missing from them, exposing the top floor, attic, or rafters to the outside. They may have collapsed or partially collapsed chimneys. They may lead out onto the rooftops and characters on the rooftops may fall through a damaged roof and into the building below. They may be a sniper’s perch in worlds with a war element. They may have been caused by a fire, bomb, storm, or simply the passage of time. Damaged roofs may be present on damaged buildings, abandoned houses, or haunted houses. Often they are featured in ruins of towers, such as watchtowers, bell towers, or clocktowers. They may have great views of the surrounding landscape. They are home to urban explorers, bats, and monsters that have made roost.

Damaged roofs are an alternative entrance or exit if the other means of entry or egress are blocked or unavailable.
