Mermaid coves are secluded water locations, such as lagoons or small inlets, that contain mermaids or merfolk. There may be rocks or large boulders in the water or reefs on which the mermaids can bask in the sun. There may be waterfalls nearby as well as sea caves. Mermaid coves can be found in both pirate and fantasy worlds. They may be a mirage or illusion. The mermaids may be sirens looking to lure sailors to their doom.
