Tree Hollows

Tree hollows are semi-enclosed cavities in the trunk or branches of a tree. Fictional tree hollows are often used as dead drops and may contain important notes or other hidden artifacts. In worlds with anthropomorphic animals or fictional arboreal species, tree hollows may serve as comfortable homes away from predators. Giant trees may have extremely large tree hollows and tree hollows on giant logs may act as peepholes to the interior space.
