Resistance Factions
Resistance factions are groups or factions fighting in opposition to a government or occupying power. Fictional resistances are often used in conflict with a fascist or evil faction in power. They are often depicted as being underdogs and may require secrecy in their actions less they are imprisoned or worse by the powers they fight against. Resistance factions are often a rag-tag team of misfits fighting a more powerful and better organized force. Of course, resistance factions may also be secretly funded by other factions merely looking to sow discord or using them as a puppet faction.

Designing Fictional Resistance Factions
Overview
Resistance factions often operate clandestinely, using covert tactics such as sabotage, espionage, and guerrilla warfare to undermine the control of their oppressors. They may be composed of a diverse range of individuals, including former soldiers, civilians, activists, spies, and disillusioned members of the ruling regime, united by a common cause and a shared desire for change.
Always pursued by their enemy, resistance factions may turn to coded messages or graffiti to relay information or mark territory. They may use safe houses, hidden weapon caches, bunkers, and resistance HQs.
