Hoodoos
Hoodoos are stone pillars formed by wind erosion. They are always capped by a rock composed of a slightly harder substance (uncapped pillars taper into points and are termed spires). Hoodoos are found in arid regions such as badlands and deserts. Fictional hoodoos may have structures or precarious boulders atop them, may line ravine labyrinths, or may topple like dominoes.
