Deserted Islands
Deserted islands are islands where no one lives. These are often used in narratives as locations where shipwreck survivors land. There may be ruins on these islands and the islands themselves may contain secrets. Deserted islands are often depicted as tropical islands though this may not always be the case. Deserted islands may also be islands where no one wants to land on. There may be legends or stories surrounding them. They may be haunted. Deserted islands are home to castaways, marooned pirates, and coconuts.
When designing deserted islands, consider the types of food (both plant and animal) that may exist as well as sources of fresh water (secluded pools, rivers, waterfalls). Also consider why this island is deserted. It may be because of it’s remoteness, or it may be because no one wants to set foot on it.
