Ancient Eras

Ancient Eras

ELEMENT │ HISTORY

Ancient eras are fictional eras set far in the past relative to a fictional worlds current present or world era. They are typically characterized by elements that no longer exist in the present day, such as ancient civilizations, mythical creatures, powerful factions now collapsed, unique magic systems, or advanced technologies. Worldbuilders often use these ancient eras to introduce rich histories, mysterious ruins, and powerful artifacts into their modern settings that come from a different age.

Synonyms: ancient periods
Example Mythonyms: the Opal Age
