Rogue Asteroids
Rogue asteroids are asteroids that are hurtling through the depths of space on their own. These asteroids may have originated from an asteroid belt or may have come from elsewhere. Fictional rogue asteroids are often mysterious objects that may harbor secrets. These asteroids may be the ones that collide with fictional planets, generating massive craters or destroying all life there. In space, rogue asteroids may be the sites of hidden bases, ancient alien ruins, or may contain exceedingly rare fictional materials.

Overview
Rogue asteroids are often depicted as both mysterious and dangerous. Their origins may be unknown, their composition may be unusual, and they may contain structures from ancient space-faring civilizations. These asteroids may also pose a threat to life on fictional planets, and planetary defense systems or planetary shields may have been erected to minimize their impact.
