Obelisks (synonyms: monuments, monoliths) are monuments usually constructed of stone or some other fictional material. They may have hieroglyphics or other writings on them. In fictional settings they may possess magical properties. Obelisks may mark important historical sites, and are often found in ancient temples, ancient tombs, and other ruins. They may be megastructures.
