Main Timelines
Main timelines are the central timeline, or the one that receives the most narrative focus, in worlds that feature more than one fictional timeline. Often these timelines are held in juxtaposition to alternate timelines like evil timelines or collapsing timelines. Main timelines are often being threatened by dangers from the other timelines. Events may cause them to split into multiple timelines.

Designing Fictional Main Timelines
Foundations
Overview
While main timelines have all the same central elements as standard timelines, what sets them apart is that they exist in parallel to an alternate timeline. Designers must consider how these two or more timelines relate to one another – their connections, their interrelationships, and what occurs to people and other elements that move between them.
