Internal Consistency

Internal Consistency

CONCEPT

Internal consistency refers to the logical and consistent application of the established rules, laws, and principles within a fictional universe. It ensures that the world operates in a believable and self-contained manner, free from contradictions and inconsistencies. If, for instance, a world establishes that magic cannot bring someone back from the dead, and then later magic does this very thing, it violates internal consistency.
