Conveyor Systems
Conveyor systems are mechanical pathways that move items or people from one location to another. Conveyor systems may use belts, rollers, chains, or other means to accomplish this task. Fictional conveyor systems are often elaborate systems with crossing tracks that span multiple levels. In narratives, conveyor systems are often used as a dynamic environment that characters need to navigate (occasionally while engaging in battle or chasing an object being transported). An automated conveyor belt may be part of an ancient automated system.

Designing Fictional Conveyor Belts
Overview
They are often found in factories, sushi shops, sawmills, airports, post offices, and other locations where the movement of items can be automated. They may be part of an assembly line, and heavy machinery may be operating on the components as they are being transported.
When designing conveyor systems, consider the routes (or multiple routes) they take. Often in fictional worlds conveyor belts meander through high bridges, tunnels, or other areas. They may crisscross each other.
