Conveyor Systems

Conveyor Systems

Conveyor systems are mechanical pathways to move items from one location to another. Conveyor systems may use belts, rollers, chains, or other means to accomplish this task. They are often found in factories, sushi shops, sawmills, airports, post offices, and other locations where the movement of items can be automated. They may be part of an assembly line, and heavy machinery may be operating on the components as they are being transported. Conveyor systems are often used in fictional worlds to generate a dynamic environment and characters often need to navigate these conveyor systems (occasionally while engaging in battle or chasing an object being transported).

When designing conveyor systems, consider the routes (or multiple routes) they take. Often in fictional worlds conveyor belts meander through high bridges, tunnels, or other areas. They may crisscross each other.
